International Hair Artist & French Balayage Specialist
Sacha De Carteret is a well-known international hair artist and educator for L’Oreal Pro. He also uses his talents in editorial and advertising for L’Oreal as well as teaches masterclasses and makes appearances on stage for hair shows.
Boasting his portfolio, Sacha is specialist for French Balayage. “I have a real passion for painting, contrasts and lightening process,” he says.
When it comes to commitments and responsibilities os his role as an educator and hair artist, he appreciates “to go on different hair painting techniques and to master it.”
Balayage as an art and hairdressers have many of their own techniques when it comes to application and coloring. To ensure successful results, Sacha says that “To paint clean and graphical, organised and keep in mind that the negative space is very important”.
He shares that the French signature hair style is “not overdone, edgy but never trashy.” “Multidimensional shades and natural hair regrowth effect,” he continues.
On the Free Hands Technique, he says there are many techniques and application shapes to ensure a beautiful graduation French Balayage.
Middle East has been one of your destinations for training and offers a variety of L’Oréal colors, hair products and mor this region. And Middle Eastern hair color unquestionably differs to European hair.
“L’Oreal have a large spectre of technology and products adapted to all markets worldwide.”
The most important advice when choosing toners and hair color for clients and for developers to make sure the most positive results are to analyze what result is wanted to be achieved, and the kind of neutralization is needed.
When asked about the #La French: The Art of Hair Coloring, Sacha explains the meaning of the motto.
“How to use color to make a woman glow and offer women an elegant and sophisticated signature look.”
As an educator, Sacha was in Dubai for the launch of Bronzing Colors and Balayage techniques. “People were so passionate, kind and receptive, I had the best time there, you got me by heart! Thanks for this amazing experience,” he shares.

Look, listen and care about clients.

Never stop improving your self and technique. Stay aware and open-minded.

What has been your proudest moment and biggest accomplishment so far?
When after a masterclass, people tell me they have learnt at minimum one thing and they enjoyed the time in my class and feel re-motivated.
